Hi! A week ago we got back from our trip to Disney, but it already feels like months ago! While our trip is fresh in mind, wanted to share some of my best travel tips. The girls have been flying since they were babies and after an extended break (hello 2020!) were glad to be back to it! Shop the entire post here!

Happy April! I can’t believe it’s already time to start thinking about summer clothes! I’m a little early this year as we have a warm weather vacation coming up in a few weeks, so I had to get my clothes in order. I went on the hunt for the perfect pair of shorts and am here to share what I found! Hopefully you’ll find some value in what I share if you are also in need of new shorts!
Hi! A couple of weeks ago my husband turned [gasp] 40, and really wanted a party to celebrate! Throwing a party for anyone can be challenging but at least with kids you can pretty much pick out what you want. With a 40 year old man it’s a little tougher. 🙃 Here’s how I made it about him but also kept it cute.

Happy Sunday! I was walking through the grocery store yesterday when I saw these Sweethearts Fruit Loops, basically fruit loops in a heart shape! I had the idea to make a fun Valentine’s Day treat with them!

We are a little less than a month away from Valentine’s Day and I’m already thinking about the class parties for my girls. Our school has a requirement that only non food items can be brought in which makes things a bit tricky! Here are a couple ideas!

Hi! Happy 2022! The new year always brings a lot of posts on organization and I’ve jumped on the bandwagon! I love makeup but have never been good about storing products. I was putting everything that would fit into an acrylic makeup organizer and the rest in a drawer. I saw these drawer dividers and they have been a game changer! I have more counter space on my vanity and can see all my products more clearly.

Hi there! We recently celebrated my daughter’s first birthday! She was born in July 2020 so needless to say it wasn’t exactly the most celebratory time, so I was so excited to be able to throw an outdoor party for her! I like to create a budget for parties because I can always keep adding things if I don’t. 🙂 One of the the things that wasn’t in the budget were personalized cookies. So, I decided to make my own!
First, I want to stress the time commitment these require. I made 45 cookies and easily spent 5 hours on them! So factor that in before you decide to make them! To get started I spent some time on Pinterest getting ideas. Once I decided what I wanted to make, I bought a few cookie cutters. To make things as easy as possible I also bought this decorating tip set. It has tips for writing, flowers, piping borders all of it. I also bought a few icing bags. For coloring the icing I used this set and the colors turned out great! Just be careful a *little* goes along way!
In terms of the cookie, I think you can use any recipe, just make sure you chill the dough! For the icing there’s several options and the biggest thing is finding an icing that will dry hard. Royal icing is a brand that works very well, but beware, you may need to add a little vanilla for taste. This recipe from Sugar Spun Run is awesome and also dries completely, so you are able to stack or package your cookies. I did a combo of both, the Sugar Spun Run recipe for the base of the cookie, and Royal Icing for the decorations. It worked very well!
To package them I put them in clear plastic bags with ties and placed them in a beautiful basket with a bow. It was so nice to have an individual dessert – and who doesn’t love a cookie?! 🙂

It’s that time again, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here! Access depends on your status, cardholders were able to shop today and the sale opens to the public July 28! I don’t crazy over this sale as some do, just pick up some things I already need if I find a good deal! Best advice is to buy only what you need and make sure you are actually getting a good discount!
If you’re feeling the spring itch here’s a project for you!
Materials: Grapevine wreath, bunch of faux flowers, wired bow, floral wire, wire cutters, glue gun. I find everything at Michaels!
Directions: First decide the placement of your flowers and bow. For mine I wanted the flowers to go down one side ending in the middle of the side with the bow. Use the wire cutters to cut the flowers into pieces she starting putting them in place. You can use wire to position them or a glue gun. Once complete add the bow. For the bow I chose to use wire to secure it. Depending on how heavy it is you could also glue it.
