Happy April! I can’t believe it’s already time to start thinking about summer clothes! I’m a little early this year as we have a warm weather vacation coming up in a few weeks, so I had to get my clothes in order. I went on the hunt for the perfect pair of shorts and am here to share what I found! Hopefully you’ll find some value in what I share if you are also in need of new shorts!
1. Madewell Denim Shorts in Lunar Wash: I’m excited to try these, I have plenty of Madewell jeans as well as one other pair of shorts. These were the only pair I hadn’t received yet so will report back!
2. Old Navy Jean Short: These are the only mid-rise pair of the bunch but still fit great. They are also the shortest, but just short enough where you question if they are too short but still wear them. 🙂 They run true to size and have been my most reached for pair in the past.
3. JCrew Factory Jean Shorts: These were a recent in-store find and are great! They are a very soft jean material making them very comfortable. Great length and fit loose in the leg. Sized down one size.
4. Agolde Parker Jean Shorts: If you follow any influencers you’ll likely have heard about these. Some call them a holy grail item…I thought they were just ok? They are super $$$ and for how short of a time we wear shorts in Chicago, I just didn’t think they were worth it and ended up returning them. They were good length and fit true to size.
5. Target Universal Thread Jean Shorts: Under $20! I bought these last year and wore them a ton. They are high waisted but very thin material and don’t hold you in as well as other pairs. I still thought they looked great and were a good distressed option if you were hesitant to spend a lot on ripped jeans. Great length and if you are in between sizes I would size down.
6. Target Universal Thread Jean Shorts in Black: These are the same option as the one above just a different color, but fit very differently. These ran small and I did not like them as much as the color way above. It’s a return from me!
