Last weekend I realized that Easter was in a few weeks and I hadn’t bought anything for Easter baskets. We don’t go crazy with gifts for Easter, to be honest I’m still recovering from Christmas and Olivia’s birthday, but in addition to hiding eggs filled with candy and coins I usually pull together a few items for their actual basket.
Here are some ideas based off the items I picked up:
- Shoes – I don’t often go into Gymboree, but happened to stop in the store last week and saw these adorable Fuchia Icon Espadrilles. They are so cute and fun for Spring, not to mention reasonably priced on sale!
- Clothes – With my girls in daycare full time we designate clothes two ways, for daycare and not for daycare. On holidays and birthdays I try to have fun picking out clothes that are not for daycare. I found these Old Navy Graphic Tees and thought they would be great for weekends. I’m loving the girl power styles!
- Lava lamp – You weren’t expecting that were you? 🙂 I try to add in some silly stuff to their baskets but also don’t want to buy just junk. The lava lamp below is battery operated and just $5 at Target! I can’t seem to find it online but if you are perusing the dollar spot be sure to keep an eye out for it.
