My youngest daughter turns two at the end of the month, and I’ve been scratching my head trying to figure out how to celebrate. In our family we go all out for the first birthday and then are pretty low key after that. We still celebrate with close family, but it’s not the huge blow out party. It’s good and bad, less worry of planning a perfect party, but more pressure to find the right gift! Yes, I am well aware she will most likely not remember these birthdays or the gifts but I will. Growing up I always had what I needed, but there wasn’t a lot of extra. No matter what though, my parents made my birthdays extra special.
I took the time to round up a list of my top birthday gifts for toddlers! Even if you don’t have kids, you probably have a toddler in your life!
- Fisher Price Laugh And Learn Servin Up Fun Food Truck: There is nothing my girls love more than playing pretend and serving me new recipes to “try!” This food truck has everything and is the perfect size for your toddler, girl or boy!
- Minnie Mouse Earrings: We pierced both girls ears at six months, and I love finding simple stud earrings for them to wear. My oldest received these last year and they are the perfect size for everyday wear! This also doubles as a keepsake for them when they get older. For special occasions when they are little, if I’m not sure what to buy I tend to buy something they can have when they are older. With how quickly they move on from toys I feel it’s a better investment.
- Basket of Babies: This is exactly what it sounds like, a basket of miniature diverse dolls! We received this as a gift and it’s a great way to start a conversation with your toddler about loving everyone, no matter what our differences!
- Melissa & Doug Art Easel: To be completely honest, I love anything Melissa & Doug! I find it all to be extremely well made and affordable. This easel does not disappoint and will be sure to inspire creativity in your toddler!
If all else fails you can’t go wrong with books! As a parent I seem to read the same ones over and over so I love when I get a new one to add to the rotation! I am still thinking about what to purchase for my daughter, but these are just some of my favorites for this age. Let me know your go to gifts to give in the comments!
