To know me is to know that I love an eyeshadow palette. They are my favorite beauty purchase and I have too many to count. I love trying different brands and while I tend to stay in the neutral category the options are endless. Here are four recent purchases all at varying price points and my thoughts on each. I’m no beauty blogger just a mom trying to look put together with limited time!
- Price: $39 on qvc.com (if you are a first time user you can usually find a discount code for registering your email – I did and scored $10 off!).
- This palette has both shimmer & matte options in neutrals and pinks. The pigment is good and I felt like even without primer it stayed put on my eye. I use dusty rose, rose pink and tempera the most.
- I don’t love the brushes that come with these palettes so I usually use one of my own.
- I had previously bought the Sultry palette by the same brand and when I applied it half of it fell off the brush/eyelid and I felt like I spent more time cleaning up my under eye than putting it on. No issue with that with this palette!
- Price: $15
- So full disclosure it looks like this exact palette is no longer available but this is my third (I know I know) palette from this brand and I’ve loved them all.
- I use the entire left side of this palette regularly. Some of the shadows look really glittery in the palette but they blend into a very nice shimmer. I wear this to work so believe me when I say shimmer and not glitter. 🙂
- There is no brush included with the palette but that’s never bothered me, I usually use my own anyways.
- These colors have great pigment and blend really well together.
- Price: $45
- This palette is not sold with a brush.
- I don’t own any other KKW Beauty products, this is my first and I tried to avoid it as long as I could. I guess I wasn’t sure if all the hype was real? This palette has the best pigment by far of any palette I’ve ever bought. Be careful though when you apply because you can easily apply too much. I use the bottom three the most (from left to right).
- When I saw this online and even in person I thought the colors were more neutral and they definitely look warmer (think orange pinks) when applied. I don’t mind it, but just something to be aware of.
- I was genuinely surprised at the quality in this brand and am interested in buying more because of that.
- Price: $18
- This palette does not come with a brush.
- As with all Morphe palettes I’ve purchase, this one has really good pigment and I think I use all but maybe 2-3 of these colors. There’s shimmer and matte which I really love. Sometimes I feel a little plain just using matte colors so I like keeping things interesting by adding some shimmer. This is the perfect neutral palette in my opinion. The colors have cooler tones which I think works better on my complexion.
- If you’ve never bought a palette before I’d recommend picking a Morphe one as your first. I have several and really like them all and the price point is great.
If I had to pick the best one overall in terms of how much use I get out of it, price, and quality I would pick the Morphe palette. In terms of overall quality? It would be the KKW Beauty palette.
