Easy Bunny Craft

Hello from self quarantine! It’s a crazy time right now with so many of us working from home and schools closed. We’ve been trying to balance things as best as we can and one thing that has helped is doing a craft each day. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just something to entertain the girls!

Materials:

Construction paper, paper plate, glue stick, crayons/markers for decorating

Instructions:

Trace the shape of a bunny ear in white/gray/black construction paper twice. Trace the same shape only slightly smaller in the pink construction paper. Cut the shapes out and center the pink shape in the middle of the other shape and glue. Take the paper plate and place the “ears” in the center, and glue the ears on top of the plate. Next select the shape you want for the “headband.” I chose flowers and simply drew a flower shape on the construction paper and cut it out. If you want multiple in the same color fold the paper over to save time. Then glue these shapes along the edge of the plate by the ears, similar to a “headband.” The shapes will cover up bottom part of the ears. Then draw eyes, nose and whiskers and you’re done!

My biggest learning in all of this is to let the girls take part in the craft, it won’t turn out “perfect” but they will have more fun being a part of it. So let go of creative control! 🙂
