What I’m Buying for Baby Number 3

We are all set to welcome baby number 3 in a few weeks! I’ve been out of the baby game for almost four years so while I am able to reuse a lot of the items I have, I was excited to check out what’s new. I research everything before I buy it, I can’t help it, so here is what I found worth buying!

  • Old Navy Cozy Footed Sleeper – Softest sleeper ever! After my first baby sleepers with zippers are a must! It sounds so silly but late at night when you’re exhausted those buttons really get you!
  • Baby K’Tan Active Carrier – I didn’t get into baby wearing until after I had my second child and needed to be able to have my hands free to help my toddler at the time. I love my Ergo, but was looking for something for everyday use. There are so many wraps on the market but I was hesitant to buy one that I had to tie myself so this looked like a great (secure) option!
  • Blooming Bath – Technically this isn’t a new item for us, we’ve used one with each of our kids but bought a new one for each baby. With my first I bought this and also received a plastic bath that goes in the bathtub. I much preferred the blooming bath. It was a lot easier to put the foam shaped flower in the kitchen sink and give a bath then to bend over in the tub. The flower also provided enough support whereas the plastic bath was tough when they were so little. My sink is a standard size and the flower works great! I have heard that it doesn’t work the best with a deeper/wider sink.
  • Baby Bjorn Bouncer – I was definitely influenced to buy this as I saw it EVERYWHERE on social media. We were in the market for a bouncer anyway and after reading all the reviews I thought it was worth trying. I liked that it seems lightweight enough to move around and that the baby can go into right away.
  • Doc a tot – My sisters and Mom wanted to get something for the baby but weren’t sure what I wanted. I had bought the boppy lounger after I had my second and while I really liked it, I felt she outgrew it really quickly. That’s what drew me to the doc a tot as well as the fact that it sides all around it. It seems like a great option for the baby to chill out in while still being contained in one space. I was so happy they got it for me and the patterns they have available are so pretty.

While those are some of the bigger items, a few personalized items such as a newborn hospital hat, onesie or handmade sign are also a must. Etsy is a great place to find these items.

I’m lucky a lot of my basic items are still in good condition. Let me know in the comments if you think there’s anything that’s come out recently that I’m missing!
