Before I had my now 3 month old, I shared the items I was purchasing prior to her arrival. I purchased those items with the best intentions, but as we all know it’s really trial and error on what works for each baby. Now that some time has passed, I’m sharing what has actually worked for us! I really recommend if you can not taking out everything you receive or buy for a baby until they come, that way you can try the items out and see what works and return what doesn’t.
Here are the items we’ve loved these past three months!
- 3 pack pajama set– The Cloud Island brand is a new (to me) line from Target and I’ve bought quite a few pieces. Super soft, affordable and they are zip up which during late night feeding is a must have.
- Swaddle – This was the first time we used a swaddle with one of our kids and it’s the only way we got her to sleep for a few hours at a time. I liked this one because it was breathable and she didn’t get too hot in it.
- Doc a Tot – I really wanted this but wasn’t sure how much we’d use it. I was pleasantly surprised at how much she loves and we use it daily. Definitely recommend!
- Carrier – Full disclosure, I tried a wrap carrier for the first time with this baby and I hated it. I didn’t feel like she was secure and it was such a pain to get on. This carrier is for newborn stage to 25 lbs and is super easy to get on. It’s great for around the house or a walk.
- Changing table cover – I love this one because the center is wipeable and the sides are cloth. So it’s pretty but also functional.
- Play arch – We have the baby Bjorne bouncer, and while I’m still not 100% that was worth the money, since we had it this arch was perfect to go with it. The one that goes with the bouncer is very expensive and this is a great alternative if you have the bouncer.
I honestly can’t believe how fast these last three months have flown by. It seriously goes faster with each baby. Hope this post is helpful and if you try any of the products let me know!
